Non-Members: Join ALA and Save!

Exhibits Only, Exhibits Plus and Exhibits Supreme Registration   

An Exhibits Only badge is $25 and is good for all 4 days of the exhibits (Friday-Monday) only. The Exhibits Plus badge is $35, and includes all four days of the exhibits, plus the Opening General Session. The Exhibits Supreme badge is $100, and includes the above, plus the ALA President's Program, Closing Session, and the Auditorium Speaker Series. Exhibits Only, Plus and Supreme badges will be available for advance registration, as well as for purchase on site. No refunds for Exhibits Only, Plus or Supreme registration.

 

ALA 2011 Annual Virtual Conference    

Find out more soon how to attend the Annual Conference right from your personal computer during  the American Library Association’s (ALA) Virtual Conference.  ALA will offer a full series of interactive web sessions.

These interactive programs are the next best thing to being right at the Annual Conference itself. The sessions focus on some aspect of how to do your jobs better so you will learn creative solutions to work smarter in this economy. The Virtual Conference is perfect for those who could not make it to New Orleans this year or for Conference attendees who missed sessions due to busy or conflicting schedules. This could be one of the best bargains in continuing education in the Library World today. Don’t miss out. 

Organizational Member   

As an Organizational Member, your institution is entitled to a discount of 15% of full-priced registration to ALA Annual Conference 2011 in New Orleans, LA for groups of 4 or more staffers who are not already personal members of ALA.

As you know, ALA personal members already save up to 40% off their registration rates. We hope that this new group rate discount for non-ALA-members of your staff will enable you to send a few more key people to experience the entire ALA conference.

Confirmations   

The ALA Registration office will e-mail or mail a registration and housing confirmation. If you do not receive a written confirmation within one week, please call Experient our customer service company at 1-800-974-3084 or email at ala@experient-inc.com

 

Badges   

If your registration was received by the advance deadline your badge was mailed to you.  If you did not receive your badge bring the confirmation form you received via e-mail to the Scan and Go area in registration, scan the confirmation form and pick up your badge and materials. If you registered online after the advance deadline or your registration was faxed or postmarked after the deadline you will need to pick your badge up at the Scan N Go Counters at registration in the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Refunds and Cancellations   

Substitutions are welcome at any time. Substitutions must be in writing. Registration cancellations must be made in writing and postmarked or faxed by May 13, 2011. Cancellations will result in a full refund less a $25 processing fee. No phone cancellations will be accepted. No refunds for cancellations postmarked after May 13, 2011. No Exceptions. Children's Policy   

Strollers are permitted on the exhibit floor, but only if there is a child in them at all times. Unescorted children are not permitted on the exhibit floor. Children under the age of five must be restrained at all times (stroller, back pack, etc.). Any child over the age of five must have an Exhibits Only badge to be admitted to the exhibit floor. These badges are available at onsite registration for $25. An adult must accompany all childeren under the age of 16.

Meal Policy   

Meals are not included with regular Annual Conference registration. Some preconferences, workshops and banquets include meals as part of an additional ticket price. This information is included with the description of the event.
